We Don't Trust a Spec Sheet. We Trust a Sample.

Any custom apparel brand can scroll a wholesale catalog, pick the cheapest blank, slap a design on it, and call it a product. There are hundreds of paper-thin promo shirts out there built to do exactly that: be cheap.
We do it differently. Before a garment blend ever makes it onto our production floor, it has to survive us first.

The Vetting Process

Every manufacturer we consider sends samples — not marketing copy, actual fabric in our hands. We wash it, dry it on high heat, stretch it, and run it through our 300°F heat-press cycle to see how it holds up to real DTF application, not just how it looks folded on a shelf.
If a blank shrinks weird, if the collar sags after one wash, if the fibers can't take the heat — it gets cut. No exceptions, no "it's close enough." Out of dozens of manufacturers and fabric blends tested, only three earned a permanent spot in our lineup.

The 3 Blends That Made the Cut

The Essential — Care Tee (Next Level)

CVC blend, 60% ringspun cotton / 40% polyester. This is our lightest shirt, and it earned that spot through testing, not guesswork — it breathes, it resists shrinking, and it holds color and print exceptionally well wash after wash. It's also, from personal experience, the one I reach for on a bad sunburn — light enough that it doesn't aggravate irritated skin, which isn't something you learn from a spec sheet.

The Heavyweight — 100% Ringspun Cotton (Next Level)

Our heaviest mid-tier shirt. Dense, structured, built for a boxy drape that holds up under real wear. We also vetted the heather variations separately, since blended-color fabrics can behave differently under a heat press: Heather colors run 85% ringspun cotton / 15% polyester, and Heather Grey specifically runs 90% ringspun cotton / 10% polyester. Each version had to pass the same shrink and cure testing as the solid colors before it was approved.

The Vintage Wash — Lane 7

Our flagship shirt line. 100% heavyweight ringspun cotton, garment-washed for that broken-in, lived-in feel from the first wear. This blend went through the most rounds of sample testing of the three — vintage-wash fabric can be inconsistent between manufacturers, and we needed a supplier whose wash process didn't compromise print adhesion.
All three passed the same bar: soft enough for everyday wear, durable enough to survive our production process without cutting corners.

The Production Promise 

We hand-weed, pre-press, and cure every garment in-house. The samples that failed our testing never made it near a customer — they just told us which manufacturers to walk away from. What's left is a curated lineup of blends we'd put our own name on, because we already tested the ones we wouldn't.
